And the winners ARE...

Thanks to every one who supported T & K’s launch of our new blog.  It was truly a success!  We had many clients and friends of clients who took the time to email us their exctement of this new addition to our T & K website.  We also had MANY entries into our contest for the FREE mini PHOTO Shoot!  We would like to thank all who took the time to enter and for those of who got your entries to us after the first five don’t worry.  We will have a new exciting contest beginning MONDAY, OCTOBER 1^st so make sure to visit the blog to find out all the fun details!  This contest is going to be great! 1-Sharon – blog evaluation……..

Very cool.  It makes the pictures a lot more fun to look at when you know something abouthe people and their story.  My favorite picture was the girl looking back at you during Camilla’s wedding.  I know that’s a weird one to pick but I taught first grade for 10 years and funny kid moments like that are the best.  Also, I liked the engagement picture on the stepping stones at Antioch Park.

What a good idea.  You have amazingly creative pictures.  Much more fun than the usual wedding portraits.  I wish I would have know about you when I got married!

I checked out the new blog and it’s very cool.  I like the commentary you used under the pictures, the story telling keeps me interested to continue to see every single picture you have.

My favorite wedding picture is the one you have of the girl lifting her veil in the air (back shot)…LOVE IT!  But my very favorite is the baby site and that first picture I see of the baby in the tulle.  I’m speechless when I look at that picture.  I just love it!  Well done.  I will definitely forward this on!

Camilla + Daniel= The Wedding Story

Camilla & Daniel were married on September 8th!  What a joyous event!  This was a festival of love of family and friends with 27 people in their wedding party which included a maid of honor, 6 bridesmaids, a best man, 6 groomsmen,  2 junior bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, 1 ring bearer, 1 minature bride, and 1 minature groom, 2 candle lighters, 2 readers, and 2 ushers.  With so many people you know that they are well loved.  I loved Camilla's reaction as her bridesmaids walked down the aisle to the church and the couple was even serenaded by mariachi as they exited St. Mary's.   This wedding was nothing short of spectacular.

I absolutely love this quote.  It reminds us that as we love we can feel complete in all that life throws our way. 

Emily and Ryan are getting married  on October 6th.  New beginnings- but what remains constant is love!  Hold each others hand, don't let go, and enjoy the ride!

Camilla- A Bridal Session

This was a treat that I think many more of our T & K brides deserve to take advantage of !  Camilla requested a bridal session before the wedding so she could have a beautiful 16 x 20 framed bridal to display at her reception.  We loved the idea and suggest that we make the session at Loose Park. 

A bridal session is great for our brides because it allows them to go for a test run on their hair and make-up BEFORE the big day, get fabulous bridals without ANY time restraints, and get one more additional day to wear their fabulous dress!

This one has a timeless air about it.  The sky had such gigantic fluffy clouds throughout the shoot.  After we departed and were on our way home it began to rain, but look at the results.  Amazing!

Victoria + Nathan= An Engagement Story

Sometimes, we meet with a little help from our friends.  I will never forget the day we met Victoria and Nathan and how they told us that their friends knew that they would be perfect for each other.  The friends were right.  Two peas in a pod and now they are getting married!

We decided to trek to Antioch Park for their engagements to take advantage of the beautiful great outdoors.  What a joy it is to create images for you two.  You are real down to earth people who are deeply in love.

Amanda + John= An Engagement Story

Amanda & John are a delight.  We met up for their engagement session downtown at Union Station, wandered around crown center, and ended in front of the Liberty Memorial.  One of the biggest challenges for photographers is when our clients warn us that they are camera shy!  We always take this as a challenge and let everyone know that if you think you are camera shy you just haven't been photographed by T & K yet!  So off we went and what was produced was some true portraits of Amanda & John being real with themselves!  That is what we strive for.  Forget that the camera is there and let's just have some fun!

Raquel + Billy= The Wedding Story

Style.  Class. Fun. 

These are the words that I would use to describe Raquel and Billy.  When Raquel contacted us about her wedding, a referral from Elizabeth, one of our former T & K brides, we knew that their wedding would be a blast.  Elizabeth and Raquel both were cheerleaders for the KC Chiefs and Raquel was a bridesmaid in Elizabeth's wedding.  Now Elizabeth was returning the favor.  Billy plays Pro Basketball and what amazes me the most of this couple is how humble, considerate, and loving they are to all.  Their day was about sharing time with relatives from out of town, cherishing friendships, and just being them. 

They exited to the sounds of whistles representing their love for sports, and ate doughnuts not cake.  Check it out below.  It was a breathtaking day!

Sabrina + Seth

Sabrina.  What can I say?  She just sparkles.  She has a self assurance that is well beyond her years and that confidence shows.  She was the bride that had a million dollar smile that radiated all day long.  Sabrina= love, smiles, and laughter!

Seth is a little more reserved but is a rock.  One of the reasons I think Sabrina was so relaxed and fun loving is because she trusts her man.  She knows he's there for her.

Sabrina and Seth's day was so them.  There was laughter, and more laughter, genuine glances of love amongst them and their family and friends.

You could feel the love.  Congratulations Sabrina and Seth!
